On a private and spare time basis I run a small shop selling hobbyarticles for dollmaking and ceramic painting. It is a family business where I help my mother import all kinds of articles for dolmaking etc. from all over the world. I am quite creative with my hands and use all kinds of needlework as relaxation. Of other interests I enjoy slalom in the Austrian Alps with my husband, music and theater.

On top of the very exciting program that has been drawn up for our stay in Virginia so far, I look forward to experience the hospitality of the people of Virginia and hopefully I will make some warm and longlasting friendships across the Atlantic ocean.

My professional tasks are general planning and policy making, and among my current projects are:

Riskmanagement, housing policy, the municipal homepage (www.frederiksvaerk.dk), drawing up a budget by targets, establishing a Twinned City Project with Tukums in Latvia (Balticum) and Agenda 21. I find these tasks extremely interesting as they demand the outmost concentration on methology and political fingertouch. On our visit to Virginia I hope to explore a lot about how this kind of subjects are taken care of. What thoughts and methodes have been developed? How do You go around policy making in these areas? Ways of organising public administration, -services and –institutions and ways of recruting new and keeping senior employees in occupation.
