Physical activity is one of my favourites: - I like jogging 2-3 times a week in the wood or around the local lake, - taking my weekly gym class, - going for a walk with family/friends feeling the seasons differencies. As I now live near a tennis court, I have thought of taking this sport up again next summer.

At home I like to read a good book while I’m listening to different kinds of music e.g. gospel, opera, classic, modern. I miss singing in a choir as I used to do years ago, but at the moment I do not have the time as I also like to participate in weekly lessons in architecture history. At the theatre opera, ballet or concerts are my preferred events.

Professionally I would like to improve my knowledge about the American Banking sector in general: - how does it function? (e.g. clearing of USD, money transfers between states, opening of accounts, financing of houses). Furthermore – how do American bankers see Europe/the new coin "Euro" (eventually compared to the American market and the USD)? Also I would like to exchange experiences with other "Correspondent Bankers" (employees in banks, who deals with financial institutions abroad – like myself).

Socially I look forward to meet the American culture and hopefully to get a chance to build good relationships with the American people. With my joy of music I hope to experience music events (e.g. gospel) – just as I like physical acitivities and chances to visit historical/cultural places. Shortly said: I will visit Virginia with an open mind being preparred to experience whatever my hosts would like me to – or would like me to participate in!
