After
having completed my apprenticeship of 3½ years, I went on to work at the Hotel
Kong Fredrik as a waiter. From hereon I moved to the Hotel D’Angleterre Leading
Hotels of the World, which is the most famous hotel in Denmark. My
employment at these hotels lasted 3 years.
Wanting
to experience the world outside Denmark I then went on a trip to the Caribbean
and the East Coast of the United States. I travelled with my best friend for
about 6 months.
Up
on returning home I was offered
employment on the M/Y D’Angleterre II, which operates in the Mediterranean and
is luxury motor yacht for charter. I worked on the D’Angleterre II as Chief
Stewardess for 2 years.
I
went on to be employed as restaurant supervisor at The Hotel D’Angleterre for
1 year.
My
next big challenge was when I gained employment as Restaurant manager at the
Restaurant Snekken. After working there for almost 2 years I decided
it was time for a change.
At
the moment I am working as a bartender, exploring my possibilities for the next
job furthering my career in the hotel and restaurant business.
I
my spare time I enjoy playing team hand ball, which I have been doing for 23
years. I also have a very active social life, since I like to be around lots of
different people.
Hopes
and expectations of the trip:
The opportunity to meet people of another culture and be a part of their country
and customs, is one of the best experiences you can get in life, and I hope to
gain that.
