My name is Birgitte Poulsen. I am 37 years old and live in Albertslund, a suburb to Copenhagen. I work for Orion Pharma A/S which is a large Finnish pharmaceutical company. My role at Orion Pharma is Logistic Support. My responsibilities include supporting the organisation in logistic issues such as planning, production, purchasing, reporting and to optimise the process flows. My background is an education as a Bachelor of Pharmacy followed by a degree in CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), an international Logistic education.

I have recently been involved in the project of implementing a new ERP-system (called SAP) in the company. For that reason I have worked 6 month in the Finnish head quarter of Orion Pharma, which was a fantastic expirience for me. Now I am back in the Danish organisation trying to optimise the use of the new system in Denmark.

Work takes up a lot of time, but there is still spare time to be spend on my interests. I play badminton and golf, travel as musch as possible, spend time with family and friends, enjoy reading a good book.

I am very excited about visiting Mexico and to get the oppurtunity to visit some companies where I can see their way of dealing with the supply chain in a company. I know that I will meet some wonderful people and see some fantastic places. The GSE experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I am very honoured to be given the chance to participate.
