Programme

We will be leaving Copenhagen Airport Saturday 11 May at 330 pm on SAS flight 943 for Chicago/Ohare.

SATURDAY, MAY 11^th

. Greeted at airport by Frank & Sharon Sell, George & Shirley Schneider,

and possibly Lloyd Gray. Arriving via United Airlines, Flt. # 1445, at

9:20 P.M.

. Transport to DoubleTree Hotel, Spokane Valley for overnight stay.

Room confirmation #’s 452277 & 452278. Also confirmed for late

2:00 P.M. checkout on Sunday.

. Rooms charged to my Visa; the team can charge their Sunday Brunch

to their room and subsequently the Visa account.

SUNDAY, MAY 12^th

. Host families should plan to meet their guest approx. 2:00 P.M. at the

DoubleTree.

. Balance of afternoon is free time to get acquainted and settled.

. Dinner for GSE Team and host families is scheduled at the Sell’s for

6:00 P.M. Casual attire & just bring yourselves and guest.

. Overnight stay at respective families.

MONDAY, MAY 13^th

. 7:00 A.M. breakfast meeting at Spokane Valley Sunrise Rotary; the

GSE Team is the program. Plans are in motion to have a power point

Projector on hand; a screen has been requested from the Doubletree.

. Sunrise Rotary will present each team member with a souvenir gift

bag.

. George Schneider will host Neils & Mikael; 8:30 – 12:00 at

Deaconess Medical Center. Lunch with hospital mgt. 1:30 – 4:30

at Pathology Associates and then a tour of Sacred Heart Hospital.

. Sharon Sell will host Charlotte at Opportunity Elementary School.

8:30 interaction with Lise Lourer, Denmark native and C V

School District Director of Personnel. Balance of day, including

lunch, with Able Learner program (gifted kids).

. Camilla (or substitute) will transport Helena to Jaazz Salon and

Day Spa, where she can “shadow” the work process from approx.

10:00 – 3:00. See Mark at 126 N. Washington, Spokane 838-4995

. Re-unite with host families and plan to attend pot luck dinner at

Maria Trunkenbolz home. Directions and time to be determined.

TUESDAY, MAY 14^th

. Host families and/or selected driver to meet at DoubleTree at 8:45

A.M.

. John Miller and ??? will transport and host a behind the scenes tour

at Spokane International Airport with Todd Woodard, V.P. Public

Relations from 9:30 – 11:30.

. Return to DoubleTree, Valley for lunch meeting and presentation at

Spokane Valley Rotary.

. Afternoon schedule will begin at approx. 1:30.

. George will host Mikael at Valley Hospital from 1:30 – 4:30

. Frank will transport Charlotte to Valley Learning Center; to be met

by Joann (proprietor). “Shadow” the school activities until 4:00

. Camilla to transport Helena to Nordstrom. Meet up with April

Aradondo (sp?), Clinique and Nordstrom Rep. 455-6111 Shadow

Through the afternoon. Find April at Clinique counter.

. John to take Niels flying in Cessna for afternoon

. Schedule established to meet Steve Jurich, Director of Valley

YMCA at 4:30. This will be an opportunity to show several

Rotary projects (ie YMCA Climbing Wall, proposed Handicap Park

At Mirabeau Point, plus the Centennial Trail.

. Dinner that evening with host families.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 15^th

. Frank or Sharon to transport Charlotte to Ponderosa Elementary.

Interaction with Karen Toreson, Principal (and Rotarian). Charlotte

will have lunch with Karen, and be picked up by Frank at 1:00.

. George will host Mikael at Sacred Heart Medical Center beginning

at 9:00. Lunch in the hospital cafeteria.

. Camilla or ?? to transport Helena to husband/wife owned small

business, specializing in facials, hair cutting, etc. Time and location

to be determined. Stylemakers – Melissa.

. Niels can select which area he would like to participate with.

. All parties should plan to meet Gus Simpson downtown at 1:30 for a

walking tour of the city, and all it’s history. Meet in the ante-way

between the Opera House and the Ag Trade Center.

. Tour will include Riverfront Park, Carousel, the Falls, RiverPark

Square, etc.

. Rendevous with host families at approx. 4:30-5:00, probably in front

of the Opera House.

. Host families and guests go to Clinkerdaggers for dinner at 5:00-5:30

. After dinner activity, if any, can be determined at “spur of moment”

THURSDAY, MAY 16^th

. Host families bring guests to DoubleTree, Valley at 8:00 A.M.

. Herman Meier, with van, will transport entire team to Walla Walla;

he will take them to Elks Club for WW Rotary Meeting at noon,

where they will be the program.
