Profile:

After graduating from the University of Copenhagen three years ago I started working as a Medical Doctor in the Hospital on a small island - Bornholm - far out in the Baltic Sea. With much regret I had to leave Bornholm to pursue my biggest interest, which is research and development of methods to integrate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in Clinical Cardiological practice. And hopefully I will obtain a degree of PhD or Doctor of Medicine in 3-4 years from now.

In my spare time, next to being with my little family, I enjoy physical activities. I have played Badminton for almost 26 years and I like most racket sports such as tennis and squash as well. Furthermore I enjoy watching a good movie, listening to live music or go dancing with my wife and friends.

Wishes for the stay:

Professionally, if at all possible, I would like to improve my knowledge regarding Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of cardiovascular diseases. I find the work performed by Thomas S. Hatsukami and Chun Yuan and Co. in Seattle (Department of Radiology and Surgery, University of Washington), particularly interesting.

Socially, I look forward to get to know the American/ Canadian people and culture much better, and it is my hope that I can plant a small seed for future friendships and professional relationships. Finally I hope to see a lot of the beautiful countryside which I have heard so much about.
